TURNITIN IN PRACTICE

3-Part Webinar Series · October–December 2026

Turnitin in Practice: Conversations for Better Assessment & Academic Integrity

AI is changing the way students learn, write and approach assessment. For educators, the conversation now needs to go beyond simply asking whether AI was used.

IntegriED’s Turnitin in Practice webinar series brings educators together for practical conversations around AI detection, responsible AI use, authentic assessment and understanding the student learning process.

Across three sessions, we’ll explore some of the questions institutions are facing right now and discuss practical ways educators can respond.

Session 1: AI Detection: What It Can and Can’t Tell Us

21 October 2026 · 11:00 AM

What can AI writing detection actually tell us — and where are its limitations?

We’ll discuss how to interpret AI writing results, address common misconceptions and use results to support further review and meaningful conversations with students.

Session 2: Ethical AI Use and Authentic Assessment

18 November 2026 · 11:00 AM

As AI becomes increasingly integrated into learning, the question is shifting from whether students use AI to how they use it.

This session explores appropriate AI use, the difference between support and over-reliance, and how assessment can continue to provide meaningful evidence of authentic student learning.

Session 3: Beyond Detection: Understanding the Student Learning Process

9 December 2026 · 11:00 AM

Academic integrity is about more than the final submission.

In our final session, we’ll explore how students develop their work through writing, revision and AI use, and consider how greater visibility into the learning process can support more authentic assessment.

We’ll also introduce how Turnitin Clarity can help educators better understand and support the student writing journey.
