Turnitin is introducing new improvements to the Authorship Dashboard designed to help investigators find and review relevant information more efficiently.
From 13 October, investigators will be able to search by Student Name and Student ID, and filter results according to Flags, Status, Priority and Last Saved By.
Dashboard data can also be downloaded based on the filters applied, allowing investigators to work with a more focused set of information.
The improvement will be available to customers licensing Turnitin Originality who use Authorship alongside their main Turnitin product. Authorship features currently work with English submissions only.
Why it matters
Investigations can involve a significant amount of information. Better search and filtering should make it quicker to identify cases requiring attention and help investigators organise their review process more efficiently.
Turnitin also emphasises that Authorship flags are not proof of a different author; they are indicators that can help identify work that may warrant further review.
